Necessary

  • - small diameter screwdriver;
  • - not sharp knife;
  • - hairdryer.

Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the work surface, it is best to cover the table with some kind of cloth so as not to lose small parts. Disconnect the computer from the power source and remove the battery. Make sure that the warranty period for the product has already expired and familiarize yourself with the terms of the contract, since disassembling a laptop can deprive you of your obligations as a seller and manufacturer.

Step 2

Turn the computer right-side down. Unscrew the top cover with a Phillips screwdriver. Remove the fasteners from the hard drive and, carefully disconnecting the wires, pull it out of the case.

Step 3

Gently remove the RAM sticks. Unscrew all visible fasteners from the case, not forgetting the battery compartment.

Step 4

Turn the laptop over. Remove the panel above the keyboard; you can use a thin flat screwdriver or a not sharp knife. Be extremely careful with this part as it is very fragile in the middle and the latches on the sides are made of thick plastic.

Step 5

Remove the keyboard. Disconnect the wires and cables for the monitor, touchpad and keyboard, holding them by the bases. Be especially careful with them, as they are often difficult to find later on in regular stores. Unscrew the fasteners of the monitor screen, having previously removed the existing plugs from them with a screwdriver.

Step 6

Turn the computer over again. Disconnect the floppy drive, modem, pull out the motherboard. Blow out the fan with a hairdryer, while the air directed at it should be cool. Repeat the operation for the keyboard, after shaking out the accumulated crumbs from there. If a complete disassembly of the keyboard is required, it is best to do it on a separate covered surface.

Step 7

Use a lint-free dry cloth to remove dust from the case and the rest of the laptop.

Step 8

Reassemble the laptop in reverse order.
