The inability to make the necessary changes to the registry entries of the Windows operating system in most cases is caused by the influence of malware or virus programs that have created the DisableRegistryTools key in the registry itself.
Instructions
Step 1
Call the main menu of the Windows operating system by clicking the "Start" button to change the settings for editing the registry permissions and go to the "Run" menu.
Step 2
Enter the value gpedit.msc in the "Open" field and confirm the launch of the "Group Policy Editor" utility by clicking OK.
Step 3
Expand the Group Policy node and select the Local Computer Policy section.
Step 4
Go to the User Configuration group and expand the Administrative Templates link.
Step 5
Select the "System" item and open the service menu of the "Make registry editing tools unavailable" policy by double-clicking in the right editor pane.
Step 6
Select the "Disabled" option in the properties dialog box that opens and confirm your choice by clicking the "Apply" button.
Step 7
Click OK to execute the command and restart your computer to apply the selected changes.
Step 8
Return to the main Start menu for an alternative procedure for changing the registry edit permissions settings and go to the Run menu again.
Step 9
Enter the value cmd in the "Open" field and confirm the launch of the "Command Line" tool by clicking the OK button.
Step 10
Enter the value Reg DeleteHKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesSystem / v DisableRegistryTools in the Windows command interpreter text box and confirm the command by pressing the Enter function key.
Step 11
Enter y in the confirmation dialog box that appears and press the Enter function key again.
Step 12
Wait for the success message to appear and enter exit in the text box of the command line utility.
Step 13
Confirm closing the command interpreter by pressing Enter and restart your computer to apply the selected changes.
