On a personal computer, various restrictions are often put that prevent it from performing some functions. Often users are faced with situations where it is impossible to install programs.
Necessary
administrator rights
Instructions
Step 1
To solve this problem, you need to have administrator rights. As a rule, such rights are configured in the "Control Panel". To allow installation of the software on a personal computer, enable an administrator account. To do this, restart your computer. Next, when loading the operating system, select the administrator account. If you are prompted for a password, enter it. However, there are situations when the user does not know the password.
Step 2
To do this, you will need to make some settings in the administrator account. Log into the system in safe mode as a different user who has no logon passwords set. Then click on the shortcut "My Computer". On the left side, select the tab called "Control Panel". Find a shortcut there called "User Accounts". Click on it to view all users who can log on to the computer.
Step 3
Find your account and set it as administrator rights. You can simply change the group the user is in. You just need to add to the Administrators group. Next, go to the item called "Win 2k User Accounts". Here you need to remove some restrictions from your account so that you can install various software on local drives of a personal computer.
Step 4
In the "Username" tab, select your account and double-click on it with the left mouse button. A small window will appear in front of you, in which you need to make settings. Select the "Group Membership" tab. The default is "Limited Access". Check the box next to General Access. Next, disable the password for the administrator account and set a password for your account. Restart your computer and install programs that were previously impossible to install.
