Step 1
Purchase a programmer for zeroing the cartridge chips. They can be found in computer stores, copier stores, and specialty service centers. You can make the programmer yourself, but keep in mind that assembling it is a long process that requires special skills. There you can also purchase a new chip for your cartridge if you do not want to flash, but replacing the chip is also not an easy process.
Step 2
Open a browser, search the Internet for the firmware program by entering the model of your cartridge in the search bar. Install the program, open the instructions for your programmer. Study it carefully before zeroing the chip. Please note that some of them may come with software, in which case you do not need to download additional utilities.
Step 3
Acting according to the instructions of the programmer, flashing the chip of your cartridge. If you are not sure that you can do this without errors, contact the services of specialists in special service centers for servicing copiers, which not only change and reset the chips. But they can also complete the process of refilling your cartridge.
Step 4
After flashing the cartridge, clean it of any toner residues to avoid dark streaks when printing in the future. Add new toner, keep in mind that there should be no more than 60 grams for the starter cartridge and 80 grams for the regular one, as it will still go into the remainder.
Step 5
