As practice shows, a large number of personal computer users face problems with installing the Internet. Often on the global network, similar questions appear on forums. To prevent the user from having such situations, you need to configure the Internet by following certain actions in a strict order.
Necessary
Personal computer, modem
Instructions
Step 1
Unpack your modem. In general, when you install it for the first time, there must be a wizard who will check the functionality and help with the installation. But if you reinstalled the system or carried the processor to the service, you have to rely only on your own strength. After unpacking, you should have a modem, two wires, and a disk (if not Wi-Fi).
Step 2
Connect the modem according to the instructions. One wire to the computer, the second to the network. There must also be a cable to connect the Internet itself. It starts from the nearest pillar, if it's a private house, and if it's an apartment, then the master will connect it to you. Insert a bootable disk into the drive. An autorun menu will appear, but you don't need it, so just exit it.
Step 3
Open "Start". Then go to the "Control Panel" tab. Click on the "Hardware Installation" button. This will open a window with a list of available options. Select the "Modem" tab. After that, click on the "Install automatically" column. Next, the installation will begin (briefly). Restart your computer and open your browser. Internet Explorer always comes as standard, but later you can install another one and make it the main one.
Step 4
The second method allows you to connect to the Internet without a disk.
Find all the documentation that your provider gave you when you connected (if missing or lost, contact the nearest service provider's office). Select the “Network Connection” icon on the Desktop. In the open window, on the left of the menu is the “Network Tasks” tab. Click on the item "Add a new element of network connection". Then follow the instructions. If nothing works out in any of the ways, then it is better to contact the support service for help, and do not "self-medicate".
