From time to time, motherboard manufacturers release BIOS updates for their products to improve performance and fix bugs. There are several ways to update the BIOS version of your motherboard.
Instructions
Step 1
You can use a bootable floppy disk or a USB flash drive with a BIOS flasher installed on it and a new version of the BIOS firmware previously copied there. Flashers for updating the BIOS in this way are available for all BIOS manufacturers (AWARD, AMIFlash, etc.).
Step 2
Some motherboards (for example, manufactured by ASUS) allow updating by means of the BIOS itself, reading the new firmware from a USB flash drive.
Step 3
Most manufacturers offer utilities to update the BIOS from Windows. Using such utilities is the most convenient, but at the same time, the most unreliable way, often leading to problems with the performance of motherboards.
