The only software, without which no computer will work for a long time, is antivirus. On the modern market there is a wide range of such software - paid and free. Free does not mean that the product is of poor quality.
Instructions
Step 1
Avast Free Antivirus is one of the common free antivirus programs. This is a freeware version for home users only. Turn on the Internet, start the program by double clicking on the icon on the desktop. On the left in the menu, select the "Service" tab, and then the "Registration" item. At this point, you can always see the status of the anti-virus license, as well as extend its validity period. To do this, click on the "Register" button. In a new window, you will be prompted to update your antivirus to a more advanced version, of course, for a fee. But you need the first column, so click on the "Register" button.
Step 2
In the next window, fill out the form: name, e-mail and country of residence. When finished, click "Register for a free license". After that, the window will close and by going to the "Registration" item, you will be able to see until what date the license was received. Now the anti-virus databases will be updated without any problems.
Step 3
When the license expires, repeat this procedure again. In other anti-virus programs, you can renew or obtain a license in the same way. It should be remembered that if you are connected to the Internet, then using antivirus alone is not enough, since it prevents files from being infected or disinfected after a virus or Trojan has entered your computer. And the so-called Internet Security versions come with a firewall (firewall), i.e. it acts as a wall between your computer and viruses from the Internet. Therefore, in addition to antivirus, you also need a firewall.
Step 4
In paid antiviruses, a free license renewal is possible only in an illegal way, or obtaining a key with a license as a gift, as is done, for example, in some computer magazines, i.e. after purchasing the magazine, you can find on the disk a license key for one month. Therefore, buy only licensed software and never save on the security of your computer.
