Avid gamers know many ways to increase the popularity of their Counter Strike server. One of them is to add the server to the global list. Hacking knowledge is optional, enough attention.
Instructions
Step 1
Open the file named steam.inf and delete all of its contents. Print the new file value PatchVersion = 1.6.3.7Productname = cstrike Save your changes.
Step 2
Use the syntax start / MIN / High hlds.exe -console -game cstrike + port xxxx + ip 127.0.0.1 + map de_inferno + maxplayers 16 -noipx -master + sv_lan 0 -insecure in start.cmd to start your server. Command values: - start … hlds.exe - the highest priority for starting the game server; - game cstrike - game mode; - console - console game mode; - master - server visibility on the network; - sv_lan 0 - for working on the Internet (sv_lan 1 - for work in a local network); - port - used port number; - noipx - prohibition of the ipx protocol; - ip - IP-address.
Step 3
Find and open the server.cfg file and enter the value setmaster enable "1" before the exec listip.cfg line. Next, using the setmaster add command before each one, print the IP addresses of the selected master servers and save the modified document.
Step 4
Download and install the free swds.dll file on your computer. Replace the downloaded file with the file of the same name located in the cstrike folder. This action will display the game server in the Find Servers search bar.
Step 5
Please note that adding a Counter Strike server means that it will appear in the list of master servers offered to players. Since there are quite large master servers, it is recommended to use only the most popular and proven ones to achieve the desired effect. Otherwise, the number of visitors will not change.
Step 6
Use alternative methods of adding your own game server to the desired master server: - purchase a VIP-slot; - use the web interface of the selected master server.
