Windows is one of the most popular operating systems and the most important way of interaction between a user and his computer, so the installation procedure should not be neglected in any case.
A user who is going to install Windows (especially the latest versions) from a disk, first of all, must save all the important information stored on the computer somewhere on a USB flash drive or external hard drive. After that, you can proceed directly to the procedure for installing Windows from the disk. Otherwise, all unsaved information will be deleted from the hard drive.
BIOS setup
First, the user must insert the Windows operating system disc into the optical drive of his computer and reboot. While the computer is just starting to restart, you need to press the Del key. This is necessary in order to open the BIOS settings. Here you need to make sure that the computer is booted not from the hard disk, but from the optical (Windows installation disk). After the BIOS starts up, you need to go to the Boot section, and then to the Boot Device Priority. Here you need to find the 1st Boot Device field and select your optical drive. After that, go to the Exit tab and click on the Save and Exit button.
Installing Windows
When the computer starts up again, the Windows operating system installation bar will immediately appear. After a while, a corresponding window will appear, where you will need to select a language, time format and keyboard layout. By default, the value "Russian" should be set everywhere, if some other value turned out, then change it using the small arrow (located to the right of each item), click the "Next" and "Install" button. A new window will appear where the user can take a closer look at the terms of the license agreement. If you agree with them and want to continue with the installation, you should check the box next to "I accept the terms of the agreement" and click "Next".
The next window will offer two options for installation: update and full installation. It is advisable to choose exactly "Full installation", since the system will format your hard drive before installation. In all other cases, you can select "Update" (if available, and besides, when updating, all your data and even errors that occurred during use are saved). Next, you should specify the hard drive for installation (for example, drive C) and click on the "Next" button. In the next window, enter a special password that is on the package with the disc and continue with the installation. Here the procedure itself will already begin, where the only thing that is required of the user is to wait for its end. After the installation is complete, you will need to create your account. Come up with a username and enter in the "Username" field, as well as a password in the corresponding item. Then set the current date and time. This completes the Windows installation procedure.
