Step 1
In order to disable the automatic reboot function in case of failures, you need to launch the "System Properties" as follows: right-click on the "My Computer" icon - select "System Properties". The same can be done through the menu "Start" - "Control Panel" - "System".

In the window that opens, go to the "Advanced" tab - in the "Startup and Recovery" block, click on the "Options" button.

In the window that appears, go to the "System Failure" block - uncheck the "Perform automatic reboot" item. Press the "OK" button in two windows.

After performing this operation, at the next system failure, the reboot will not occur, and the "blue screen of death" will hang on the screen. From this screen, you can take a picture and solve the problem, or look for a solution on thematic forums on the Internet.

If you are interested in disabling the reboot function on system crashes faster, use the Registry Editor. Click the Start menu - Run - type regedit. Click OK.
