Hyperlinks are used to quickly redirect information from one source to another object (website, graphics, photos, etc.). It is very convenient and practical to use hyperlinks. For example, you are writing an article about the Alps and want to add photographs to the article or a link to a site with interesting information on this topic. To do this, just create a hyperlink in the text. By clicking on a word to which a hyperlink has been added, the user will be redirected to another source of information.

Instructions

Step 1

Hyperlinks can be added not only to text, but also to graphics, photographs, documents. You can create hyperlinks using the Microsoft Office Word text editor. If you just need to create a hyperlink to a specific site, forum or Internet resource, this is done very easily. Copy the Internet address you need, and then paste it into a Microsoft Office Word document. But immediately after the command "Paste" press Enter. After that, the hyperlink will be created automatically.

Step 2

You can also add a hyperlink directly to the text. To do this, select the desired area of text with the left mouse button. Then press the right mouse button. A context menu will appear. From this menu, select "Hyperlink". A new "Insert Hyperlink" window will open. If you want to create a hyperlink to an Internet resource, then in the "Address" line, enter, respectively, the Internet address of this resource. Also in the line "Address" you can enter a link to graphics, photographs or other files that are on the Internet.

Step 3

If you need to create a hyperlink to a file that is stored on the hard drive of your computer or on the hard drive of one of the computers in your network environment, you need to do this. In the Insert Hyperlink window, select Find File and specify the path to the file to which the hyperlink is being created. Highlight this file and click OK. The search window will close, and then in the Insert Hyperlink window, also click OK. The hyperlink will be created.

Step 4

You can also add a hyperlink to graphics (photos, images, pictures, etc.). To do this, select the desired object and right-click. Then also select "Hyperlink". The subsequent steps are identical, as with the creation of hyperlinks to the text.

Step 5

If you just right-click on an empty space in the document and select "Hyperlink", then in the "Text" line you can, accordingly, enter the text for which a hyperlink will be added and, in the same ways as described above, add a hyperlink to file or internet resource.
