A lot depends on how the workplace is organized: comfort, productivity and even emotional balance. This statement applies equally to furniture and equipment, and to the organization of the "Desktop" on the computer.
Instructions
Step 1
Determine what you use most: printer, scanner, tablet, phone - and calculate the space required for this equipment. A keyboard, mouse, speakers, monitor (even a flat one) - all this also requires space, however, like office supplies, if they are used in work.
Step 2
If necessary, install an additional bedside table or side table. The system unit for many users is on the floor - make sure that it does not interfere with sitting at the table, does not hurt your feet. There should be more space on the table on the side with which the mouse is located: remember that the mouse will have to be moved, and the forearm and elbow should lie comfortably on the table.
Step 3
Apply the principle of minimizing the expenditure of effort, time and resources. If you often print documents, then there is no point in going to another part of the room for each new document - it takes time. The same is true for the scanner. In addition, if you have a scanner and printer, the need for a copier is automatically eliminated. Just make sure that these two types of equipment are in close proximity to each other and from you.
Step 4
Use the same principle when organizing your computer's Desktop. Remove any unnecessary shortcuts. Make the best use of the taskbar (the area at the bottom of the screen). Place shortcuts for launching frequently used applications on the Quick Launch bar (the area to the right of the Start button). To place an application icon on the Quick Launch, select it and, while holding down the left mouse button, move it to the panel.
Step 5
Place some applications and utilities that are often used in your work in the startup folder. To do this, place the launch file shortcut in a folder at: C: (or another drive with the system) / Documents and Settings / Administrator (or user) folder / Main menu / Programs / Startup. Place shortcuts to folders that you open frequently on the Desktop. To do this, in the directory where the folder is located, click on its icon with the right mouse button, select "Send" in the drop-down menu, and "Desktop (Create shortcut)" in the submenu.
