The console commands in Counter Strike and Call of Duty are widely used by gamers. The ban team belongs to the category of game administration and enjoys increased attention.
Instructions
Step 1
Management of the game COD server is mainly carried out by two methods: - by entering rcon commands into the console in the game itself; - by entering commands of the PB_rcon class. The first of them implies the administrator password rcon, the second does not. The disadvantage of these methods can be considered the need to exit the game to enter the desired command.
Step 2
Bring up the game console on the server by pressing the tilde (`) function key, or use the option to invoke the extended console by pressing the Shift key. Please note that to manage the server, the rcon password must be set in the main configuration file with the Set rcon_password command. Type the / rcon login password into the console and confirm it is correct by pressing the Enter function key.
Step 3
To perform the desired action, use the syntax: - / rcon banUser player_name - to ban the selected player with saving an entry in the ban.txt file; - / rcon banClient player_number - to ban the player with the selected number, which can be determined by the / rcon status command; - / rcon tempBanUser player_name - for kick and temporary ban of the selected player without saving records about it; - / rcon tempBanClient player_number - for kick and temporary ban of the player with the selected number without saving records about it.
Step 4
Use the method of banning the player in the game console of the Counter Strike game. To do this, type addip ban_time in_minutes or 0 for permanent ban player_IP address in the console. Alternatively, use the syntax banid ban_time in minutes or 0 for permanent ban userid player_name. A variation on the same command is to replace the last variable in this command with uniqueid. Determination of all player IDs can be done with the status command.
Step 5
Try another ban method. To do this, enter the command vote in the console and determine the number of the player to be banned. Type amx_ban # selected_player_number in the console and confirm the selected action by pressing the softkey labeled Enter.
