Often, in the process of working with a personal computer, it becomes necessary to block access to certain Internet resources. To do this, you need to use the capabilities of the browser or use special plugins.

BlockSite
Instructions
Step 1
When working with the Internet browser Mozilla Firefox, you should install the additional BlockSite utility. This is due to the fact that the browser itself is not endowed with the function of blocking specific pages. Download the plugin using the official Firefox addons site.
Step 2
Find the BlockSite plugin and click the Continue to Download link. After the application has finished downloading, click on its name with the left mouse button. To do this, use the "Downloads" tab of your browser.
Step 3
After launching the new menu, click the Install Now button. Wait for the plug-in to be inserted into the browser and click the "Restart" button.
Step 4
Now open the Tools tab and go to the Add-ons menu. In newer versions of the browser, this menu is located in the "Settings" section and may be called "Extensions".
Step 5
Find the installed plugin and left-click on it. Now click the "Settings" button. Go to the Enable functions group and check the boxes next to the Enable BlockSite and Enable BlackList options. Below there will be a list with the name of the second function.
Step 6
Click the Add button and wait for the new dialog menu to start. Enter the address of the Internet resource in the proposed field. If you are not sure if the name is correct, visit this site and copy the url from the status bar. Paste it into the BlockSite plugin window.
Step 7
Click the Ok button. Repeat this algorithm to add other resources to the blacklist. If you accidentally included an important resource in the BlackList, select its name with the left mouse button and click the Remove button. To completely clear the blacklist, use the Clear List button.
Step 8
Set a password for access to this plugin so that other users cannot independently change the established rules for accessing Internet resources.
