Often we do not use some of the keyboard buttons that give access to some applications. Perhaps this is due to the fact that application data is rarely used. However, you can change the button assignments.

Step 1
Open desktop properties by right clicking on it. In the window that appears with several tabs, go to the one that is responsible for the screensaver settings. Open the power options by holding down the corresponding button at the bottom of the window.
Step 2
In the new window that opens, go to the Advanced. In the drop-down menu, activate one of the modes for the computer on and off button. The same applies to the sleep button. They are characterized by the same set of possible actions.
Step 3
In order for some unused buttons in the computer to be used by you during your work, change their purpose using special programs, one of them is MediaKey. It can change the active buttons not only for applications launched from the multimedia keyboard, but also set up shortcuts to launch the rest. There are also programs for replacing the assignment of the Caps Lock key and others.
Step 4
Run the installed program and familiarize yourself with its interface. Set the launch of programs that you frequently use using the upper keyboard accessory panel, for example, replacing the calculator, browser, or Outlook Express. It is best to create a system restore point before making such changes, it is often much faster to roll back to the previous version than resetting the button clicks to their defaults.
Step 5
If you want to change the assignment of the mouse buttons, use the Windows tools in the computer control panel, but there you can only swap them. If you have a multimedia mouse with several buttons, install the necessary drivers supplied with the sale on it, since otherwise its additional buttons will be inactive.
