After a failure occurs on one of the hard disk partitions, the operating system automatically puts a label on such a disk. Every time the computer starts up, the system scans the boot partition and sees a shortcut to the disk that was once broken. Because of this, the hard disk check window often appears.

Step 1
After the appearance of even a minimal malfunction of the hard disk, bad sectors may appear on its surface. At the first detection of this problem, the system puts the label "bad sector" and a constant check of the disk can no longer be avoided. This is done to make the hard drive work properly, but in fact, this function only increases the boot time.
Step 2
One of several solutions to this situation is to fully check an item such as "My Computer". To perform this operation, you must open the "My Computer" window by double-clicking on the shortcut on the desktop or in the "Start" menu. Then right-click on the disk, which is constantly checked by the system for bad sectors, and select the "Properties" line.
Step 3
In the window that opens, left-click on the "Service" tab. Go to the "Check disk" block, inside which you should click the "Check" button. You will see a pop-up dialog box in which you need to check the boxes "Automatically fix …" and "Check and repair". Then click the "Run" button.
Step 4
In the next dialog box, you will see an offer to perform a full hard disk check only after a reboot. Answer in the affirmative by pressing the restart button. When the system boots up, a check will start. Upon completion, it will be clear if there are problems on the hard disk partitions. If they are not there, this check will no longer start automatically.
Step 5
It so happens that the first method does not help, but you are sure that the disk partitions are working properly. Therefore, you should manually cancel this check. To do this, press the Win + R keyboard shortcut, type cmd and press the Enter key. In the window that opens, enter the following expression chkntfs / X C: (instead of C: there can be any other disk that is constantly checked).
