Step 1

Open the start menu. In the line below "Find programs and files" enter the query "Create". In the drop-down list, select the line "Create a restore point". The System Properties dialog box opens with the System Protection tab enabled.

Step 2

Click the "Create …" button located at the bottom of the window that appears. A window will open for entering a description to identify the recovery point.

Step 3

Enter a description for the restore point to create. You can enter, for example, the following phrases: "The program N is installed" or "The system is cleaned of viruses", etc. Then click the "Create" button. The process of saving the system settings will start, i.e. creating a restore point.

Step 4

After the system has created a restore point, the System Protection window appears with the text "The restore point was created successfully." In this window, click the "Close" button. Now, when you launch System Restore, the user-created restore point will be displayed.
