Necessary

  • - DVD disc;
  • - Ultra ISO.

Instructions

Step 1

The best option is to include the required drivers in the installation package. To get started, visit the official website of your mobile computer developers. Find and download SATA hard drive drivers. Unpack the files from the downloaded archive.

Step 2

Now locate the Windows XP installation disk image. If you already have such a disc, download and install the Ultra ISO program. Use it to create a virtual image of this DVD.

Step 3

Using the same program, change the contents of the resulting image. Create a separate folder in its root directory. Use only Latin letters when choosing a name for this directory. Copy the files required to identify the hard drive during operating system installation to this folder.

Step 4

Write the resulting edited image to a new disc. To do this, use the ISO File Burning program. Run it, select the desired DVD drive, specify the recording speed. Click the "ISO File" button and select the edited ISO image of the installation disc.

Step 5

Click the "Burn ISO" button and wait while the program performs the required actions. Now insert the resulting disc into the DVD drive of your mobile computer. Turn on your laptop and hold down the F8 key.

Step 6

Select Internal DVD-Rom after the Quick Change Boot Device window appears. After the preparation of the system installation files is complete, a message will appear stating that no hard drives were found. Press the F2 button or another specified key. Navigate to the folder on the drive where you copied the drivers.

Step 7

Wait for the installation of the selected files and the definition of the hard drive. Proceed with the normal operating system installation.
