When a user loads an image into the graphics editor Adobe Photoshop or creates a blank document, he gets one layer at his disposal. In the process of work, the number of layers increases - the more complex processing is applied to the picture, the more they become. In the final version of the image, a certain number of layers usually turns out to be superfluous, and if they are not removed, then they are made invisible - "turned off".
Necessary
Graphic editor Adobe Photoshop
Instructions
Step 1
When operating with the visibility of individual elements of the image structure, you cannot do without the layers panel - if it is not already open in the interface of your graphics editor, press the F7 key or select the "Layers" item in the "Window" section of the menu.
Step 2
In the Layers panel, find all the layers you want to turn off visibility. If you do not know which of them contains the desired fragment of the image, click with the mouse this section of the picture while holding down the Ctrl and alt="Image" keys - Photoshop will itself find the level containing it and select it in the panel.
Step 3
Left-click on a small picture with a stylized image of an eye at the left edge of the layer line found in the panel - when you hover the mouse pointer over this icon, a tooltip “Indicates the visibility of the layer” pops up. This will be enough to make the selected level of the image structure invisible.
Step 4
Call the context menu by right-clicking on the eye. It also has the necessary "Hide this layer" command - you can use it.
Step 5
If clicking on the eye makes you uncomfortable, replace this action by choosing Hide Layers from the Layers section of the Adobe Photoshop menu.
Step 6
In the graphics editor, you can turn off the visibility of all layers with one click, except for one selected by the user. Find this special layer, press alt="Image" and click on the icon, which, in theory, can turn off visibility - in this case, such a click will make the layer visible regardless of whether it was previously hidden or not. If you later want to return all layers to their previous visibility / invisibility assignments, repeat the same action. This command is duplicated in the context menu of the icon with an eye - there the required item is named "Show / hide other layers".
Step 7
If you often have to turn the visibility of a particular set of layers on and off while working with an open document, group each set in a separate folder. Such a folder in the panel has its own visibility switch, which greatly simplifies the operation. You can create a new folder and place a group of layers selected in the panel in it by pressing the Ctrl + G key combination or by dragging them onto the folder icon in the lower right part of this panel.
