Installing actions (action) in the "Photoshop" program is designed to help a designer or photographer to automate the process of image processing, thereby freeing up the artist's precious time to perform other operations.
Instructions
Step 1
The process of installing an action into a program is extremely simple. All you need to do is download the action itself, unpack it, copy and paste it into a folder like C: / Program Files / Adobe / Photoshop CS5 / Presets / Sets / Actions.
Step 2
Now open Photoshop itself. In it, click on the "Window" -> "Operations" tab. A window will open in which the Action palette will open. Here select the Load Action command. A window will open in which you need to select the action copied to the directory of the Adobe Photoshop folder. Now you should be able to see the installed action among others.
Step 3
However, with all the convenience, finding the desired action on the Internet or on disk is quite difficult. In this case, you can create your own action. All that will be needed for this is the graphics editor itself. It will take about 15 minutes, during which you will create an algorithm of actions, which you can later use as an action.
Step 4
Action recording
Open the desired image in Photoshop (Ctrl + O), then the Action window, as described above. Now we need to start recording the action. In the window, create a new set (Alt + F9) and an action in it (first the folder icon will appear, then the leaf image). As a result, the Record icon will be highlighted in red. From this moment, a record of all actions that you will further perform with the image will go. There is no need to rush - regardless of the time that you spend on processing the picture, all actions in the action will be performed one after the other at once.
Step 5
Now create a copy of the background layer by pressing Ctrl + J. This is necessary in order to be able to resize the image. To stop recording a macro (action), you need to click the Stop playing / recording button. Actions in the action can be freely swapped, deleted or added.
