The command line console is present in all versions of Windows operating systems and is a separate software product that provides direct communication between the user and the system. A text-based command line interface (CLI) provides an environment for running applications and utilities in a system-understandable way.
Instructions
Step 1
Click the "Start" button to bring up the main menu of the system and go to "Accessories" to launch the cmd.exe application (command line console).

Select "Command Prompt". Another way to launch the application is the following.

Click the "Start" button to enter the main menu of the system and go to the "Run" item.
Step 4
Enter the value cmd.exe in the search bar and press Enter to confirm the command.
Step 5
Use the cd value to navigate to the desired program directory.
Step 6
Use the dir value to print the contents of the folder.
Step 7
Use the> value to redirect the program's output directly to a text file.
Step 8
Open a Command Prompt Console window to configure settings and select Properties.

Click the General tab and select (or enter) 999 in the Buffer Size field in the Command Memorization section.

Select (or enter) 5 in the Number of Buffers field.

Apply the checkboxes in the Selection and Quick Paste boxes in the Editing section and go to the Arrangement tab.

Select (or enter) 2500 in the Height field of the Buffer Size section. Increase the Width in the Screen Buffer Size area. Increase the size of the Height and Width options in the Window Size area.

Uncheck the Auto Select box and change the Left Edge and Top Edge! in the Window Position area.
Step 14
Select the option "Keep properties for other windows with the same name" in the "Modify Properties" dialog box and click OK to confirm the application of the changes.

Enter the value exit to perform a command line console shutdown operation.
