Instructions
Step 1
If you work with containers of the mkv format, use the mkvtoolnix utility. This is a free program designed to change the parameters of videos. Download the working files of the specified program.
Step 2
Open the download directory and run the mmg.exe file. After starting the main menu of the program, select the "Login" tab. Click the Add button. Select the video file to which you want to attach the audio track.
Step 3
After downloading the file, examine the contents of the selected container. If it contains third-party elements, remove them. To do this, uncheck the corresponding items. The mkv format can contain several audio elements, subtitles and similar additional attachments at once.
Step 4
Now select the downloaded video in the Input Files menu. Click the "Attach" button. After starting the explorer menu, select the audio track you want to add to the file. If you have not removed additional items, then move the new track to the first position in the list.
Step 5
To do this, select the name of the added track and press the "Up" button several times. Now open the "Options" tab and change the characteristics of the video file, if necessary.
Step 6
After preparing the container, open the "Processing" tab and select "Run mkvmerge". Wait a while for the program to complete the running procedure.
Step 7
Click the "Open folder" button and check the generated file. Take into account the fact that the playback of the track starts together with the start of the video stream. If you need to shift the audio track a little, then fill in the "Delay" field in the "Parameters" tab. To start the music before the start of the video, set a negative delay value. Use Sounde Forge to pre-edit the sound file.
