A certain type of virus program causes adware to appear on the desktop. Naturally, after sending an SMS message to the specified number, you will not receive a banner deactivation code. You can remove this window using special utilities.
Necessary
- - access to the Internet;
- - Dr. Web CureIt;
- - Kaspersky UnLocker.
Instructions
Step 1
First, find out if the ad window appears in the safe mode of the Windows operating system. Restart your computer. It is best to press the Reset button to eventually load a menu of additional options to continue working.
Step 2
After opening the described table, select "Safe Mode". Press the Enter key. In the new window, select "With network driver support". Wait a while for the specified mode to load.
Step 3
Open any file manager. Navigate to the contents of the Windows folder and open the system32 directory. Take a close look at the dll files located in this directory. Find the ones whose names are in the * lib.dll format.
Step 4
Delete the found files. In the event that you will use the search string to find files, delete only those that are located in the system32 root directory. Do not modify files in subfolders.
Step 5
Now connect to the internet and visit www.freedrweb.com/cureit. Follow the link "Download for free". Run the CureIt utility and click the Scan button.
Step 6
Reboot your computer. Check for a banner in standard Windows operating mode. Write down the phone number or calculation data specified in the text of the module.
Step 7
Boot OS Safe Mode again. Visit the Dr. Web, Nod32 and Kaspersky. Find pages dedicated to issuing banner disable codes.
Step 8
Fill in the required fields and write down all the suggested combinations. Start Windows as usual. Substitute the recorded passwords into the ad module.
Step 9
If none of the above options helped to disable the banner, download the proposed utility from support.kaspersky.com/viruses/solutions?qid=208642240. Write it down to a USB drive and run UnLocker.
