Imagine that you have a favorite disc that contains certain information (music, movies, photos or games). As soon as you inserted it into the CD / DVD drive of the computer, the system gives an error - a dialog box appears with a message that the disc cannot be opened. There can be many reasons for what happened: while writing information to a disk, your computer suddenly "freezes", some kind of failure during disk recording, or was recording at high speed. But is there a chance of a successful recovery of the disk?

Step 1
Insert your disc that the CD / DVD drive has stopped reading. Check again for readability. Go to "My Computer" - if the disk icon is constantly blinking, but cannot boot, then the problem is in the boot sector of the disk. To read such a disc, you must download the IsoBuster program from the Internet.
Step 2
Run the program. The main window of the IsoBuster pro program will appear in front of you.
Step 3
Move the mouse over the top line with the name of the drive. Click on this line - from the drop-down list, select the drive in which the damaged disk is currently located.
Step 4
The contents of your disk will appear in the window that opens, even if the system was unable to read data from the disk. Also, this program will automatically detect the name of your disk and show it in the current window.
Step 5
Select all the necessary files with the left mouse button - right-click on the selected files - in the context menu, select the first line from the top Extract Objects (Extract / unpack objects).
Step 6
In a new window, you need to select the location for the files to be extracted from the damaged disk. Select a specific folder and click OK.
Step 7
The program has started extracting files from the disk, this may take a significant amount of time. At the end of this procedure, all extracted files will be in the directory specified when starting file recovery.
