If you have a computer, you probably know to defragment it periodically. This process helps to improve the performance of the disc on which such work was done. Step 1
To start defragmenting the disk, go to "Start". Find and open the "Toolbox". Get a classic look. You can go in the left-right corner. This will allow you to find the Administration icon.

Double click on this icon. Next, try to find an icon called "Computer Management". There is a "Storage" icon, which will take you to "Defragment Disk".

You can go the other way. Go to "Start". Choose "All Programs" and "Standard".

Go to the "System" folder. This is where the "Disk Defragmenter" file is located. It contains a list of available disks on your computer. If you are using Windows XP, you need to analyze the logical structure of the disk.

There is an Analyze button in the Disk Defragmenter window. Click it. The program will automatically be able to test the structure.

Then you can safely proceed to the defragmentation itself. If you need anything during this process, you can click the Pause button and defragmentation will pause.

The whole process of this procedure will take approximately 40 minutes. As a result, errors will be corrected, and the disk will start to work better.
