Simultaneous launch of program files on a computer under one operating system can be carried out using additional system settings. This also applies to the torrenting program utorrent.
Instructions
Step 1
Launch two torrent clients by copying the program files to a separate folder. To do this, go to the directory on the local disk where you installed the program. Copy utorent.exe using the context menu and paste it in any other folder on your computer. In this folder, create a temp / torrent directory and add an empty file to it. Name it settings.dat or copy it from the existing% APPDATA% / uTorrent folder.
Step 2
In the directory you created, right-click on the copied file with the name utorrent.exe and from the context menu select the item to create a shortcut, after which a new position with the name utorrent.exe.lnk should appear in your folder.
Step 3
On the created shortcut, right-click and in the shortcut properties find the tab named "Shortcut". Find the line "Object" and edit it. After the words /temp/utorrent/utorrent.exe add / recover, but pay particular attention to the fact that you must always put a space before the word recover. Make sure to edit the object properties correctly and apply the changes, close the windows by clicking OK.
Step 4
Run the first copy of utorrent on your computer as you normally would, and the second using the shortcut you created in the copy of the folder. If necessary, you can add it to the quick launch menu of the taskbar of the operating system or to the desktop, while giving it a name different from the first copy of the program.
Step 5
When you run two copies of the same program at the same time, different settings are used than those applicable to utorrent, however, in some cases, the sequence of actions may be the same.
