For games, there are many different patches that make certain changes to the program. The problem often lies in the fact that many of them were written by not very competent users and after installing them, the game starts to freeze and other problems appear.
Necessary
utility Warcraft version switcher
Instructions
Step 1
Download the "Warcraft version switcher" program to your computer. Check the file for viruses and if everything is ok, install it. Please note that if you previously installed the Russian version of the game, after using this utility, it may change the language to English. This game serves to roll back the update patches of the Warcraft game, changing its newer versions to the old ones without reinstalling the system files.
Step 2
If you do not like that the program changes the interface language, make a backup copy of the save files and reinstall the game, after clearing the system folders and operating system registry entries that are in any way related to it.
Step 3
Open the start menu. From the list of standard Windows service utilities, open the Operating System Restore Wizard. Select the option to roll back to one of the previous states and then use the arrows to view the calendar of events. If the restore point was created at the moment before the patch was installed, and you are satisfied with the cancellation of changes for this period, use the system rollback by selecting this date and clicking the "Next" button.
Step 4
Following the instructions in the utility menu, roll back the changes for this period. Please note that user files will remain in their places, only the state of the software part of the operating system and installed programs will change, and those installed for a given period of time will also be uninstalled among them, so save the user files of such programs if you need them in the future.
Step 5
Check the program for operability after rolling back the operating system state. The next time, before installing any patches or making other significant changes to the program, create a restore point to minimize data loss. When installing various patches, copy the original files to be changed to a separate folder on your computer.
