Instructions
Step 1
Download any frame you like in.
Step 2
Start the Gimp program and choose Open from the File menu. You can simply drag the image file into the image editor window. If you want.

Then click "Select a program", click on the corner in the "Other programs" section and find the launching file gimp-2.6.exe in the ProgramFiles directory, the Gimp subdirectory. Check the box "Use the selected program for all files of this type" and click OK.
Step 4
Open the photo you want to frame in Gimp. Use any of the methods described in the first paragraph for this. Choose Copy Visible from the Edit menu. Go to the frame window and from the Edit menu click Paste. A floating selection appears in the layer list.
Step 5
Call the context menu for it and select "Create Layer". Drag the created layer down, grabbing it with the mouse and moving it under the frame in the window for working with layers. The photo is framed.
Step 6
If the inserted photo does not fit the frame, activate its layer by clicking on its name with the left mouse button. In the panel, select the "Scale" tool, by left-clicking in the editing window, open the dialog box and drag the corners of the layer selection to increase or decrease it. To make the change proportional, click the broken chain links icon next to the dimensions. At the end of the procedure, click "Change".
Step 7
Save the image for later printing or web publishing. Select "File" - "Save As". Give a name without an extension. Specify the file type in the appropriate section located at the bottom left. It is more convenient to save in.jpg"
