The cooling system in a personal computer plays an important role, because components of computers, being without cooling, quickly lose their performance, failing. How to ensure stable operation of the processor, how to remove the cooler from the processor so as not to damage it?
Necessary
First of all, you need to know the basics of a computer: how to de-energize the system unit and remove the side cover. And also arm yourself with a screwdriver of the required size
Instructions
Step 1
At the moment, there are several types of fans used in cooling systems. The most common ones are taken off / put on in 3 ways, i.e. The cooler is fixed to the radiator in various ways:
- using small screws;
- with a latch;
- with the help of additional retention grooves.
Let's take a closer look at all the ways to remove a cooler from a radiator.
Step 2
A small reference: the cooler is a fan, it is mounted on the heatsink. In turn, the heatsink is adjacent to the platform on which the processor is mounted. The cooler serves to cool the high temperature of the processor stone during operation.
Attention! Before removing the cooler, turn off the power to the system unit by turning off the computer, logging out of the system, and unplugging the power cord from the outlet. You can also use the power off toggle switch on the back of the power supply (not available on all power supply models). After you remove the side cover of the system unit, disconnect the cooler power cable from the connector on the motherboard.
Step 3
So, the most common way of attaching a cooler is with small screws. Everything is quite simple here: we take a screwdriver of a suitable size, unscrew the small screws and the cooler is free.
When our cooler has a connection in the form of a latch (lever), it is necessary to press this latch and, without squeezing it, move the lever away from the processor.
When attaching the latch (lever) and additional grooves, it will be necessary to press the grooves to release the cooler from the fan connector.
