Acceleration makes mouse movement smooth and responsive. For a comfortable game and more accurate pointing of the pointer, many gamers disable this option, because it gives a "floating" cursor, due to which the crosshair sometimes simply slips past the target.
Necessary
- - Program for removing acceleration,
- -.reg file making changes to the registry
Instructions
Step 1
When acceleration is disabled, the player's personal skills begin to play an important role in the game. By removing this parameter, only the distance drawn along the surface of the rug remains, while with acceleration enabled, the mouse movement speed still matters (the faster the mouse moves, the faster the cursor speed). This is convenient for working in the operating system at high resolutions, but absolutely interferes with the game. To remove the parameter, there is a small free program XPMouseFix, which makes changes to the registry, after which the mouse accelerator will be disabled. The program also adjusts the cursor movement speed.
Step 2
Another handy program is the mousefix.reg file, which adds the corresponding value to the windows registry, and then changes the mouse movement. To cancel the action of the key, you can run the removemousefix.reg patch.
Step 3
To disable acceleration in Counter Strike, you need to add three parameters in the shortcut on the desktop (right mouse button - "Properties" - "Object") - noforcemaccel, noforcemparms, noforcemsbd (it will look like "hl.exe -nomaster -game cstrike - noforcemaccel -noforcemparms –noforcemsbd "). After that, you need to go to the Windows mouse pointer settings (Control Panel - Mouse) and uncheck the box "Enable increased pointer positioning accuracy". It is recommended to disable the filter to remove mouse anti-aliasing in the game To do this, enter "m_filter 0" in the CS console.
