Surely, when working in a Microsoft Office program, you would like to simplify frequently repeated actions. For example, change the keyboard input language, format text, or transform data in Excel tables. And imagine that these actions can be reduced to pressing just one key. How much it would simplify the work. But this is real and is done using macros, which are a set of commands.
Necessary
- - Microsoft Office program;
- - access to the Internet.
Instructions
Step 1
You can download various packages of macros from the Internet. As a rule, this is a whole set for the most frequently requested teams. It is also necessary to take into account the version of Microsoft Office, since macros that are created, for example, for Microsoft Office 2003, may not work on Microsoft Office 2007.
Step 2
But you don't need to download entire sets of macros. It is enough to find the macro you need on the Internet and download only it. For example, if you often need to format text, you can download a set of commands for formatting text, but if you often have to copy, a separate macro for copying data.
Step 3
Start the Microsoft Office component. Then select "Tools", then - "Macro" and "Visual Basic Editor". An editor window will open. In the upper left corner is the Project section. In this section, right-click on the Normal line. A context menu will appear, in which select "Import File".
Step 4
You will see a browse window. Click on the "Files of type" arrow located at the bottom of the browse window. Then select VB Files from the list, then specify the path to the folder where the macro you need is located. Select it with the left mouse click. Then, in the browse window, click Open. Close the editor window and check the functionality of the macro you inserted.
Step 5
There are also special tutorials for macros, which include sets of commands for a large number of actions. In this case, macros do not need to be added using the editor. Click on the manual with the right mouse button, then select "Create" in the context menu. The macros will be added.
