Through BIOS, you can change the parameters of many devices on your computer. In addition, it can change the boot order of devices so that the computer first boots from a CD or floppy disk, and then from a hard disk.
Instructions
Step 1
After starting the computer, you must press the go to BIOS key. In most cases, this is the Del button, but there may be other options. Pay close attention to what is written on the monitor screen, hints are usually given there, for example "Press F12 to enter setup".
Step 2
After entering the BIOS, you need to find a menu that indicates the boot sequence of the computer's devices. This menu differs in different BIOS versions, so there is no clear name for it, look for something like "Boot device priority" or just "Boot".
Step 3
In this menu, you will see a list of boot devices. Booting is usually done in order from top to bottom, so you need to move your optical drive to the very top. This can be done using the Pg Up and Pg Down keys. After that, be sure to save your changes.
