In order for your personal computer to be reliably protected from the effects of malware, you need to install an antivirus on it. For an antivirus to cope with this difficult task, you need to regularly update its databases.
Instructions
Step 1
Activate your internet connection. On the taskbar, find the antivirus icon to update the Nod32 virus databases. Double click on it with the left mouse button. Antivirus window will open. Go to the "Protection status" tab. It will indicate how many more days the current anti-virus signature databases will be valid.
Step 2
Then go to the "Update" tab and click on the "Update virus databases" button. Wait for the update to finish. You can put it in the background. Close the antivirus window.
Step 3
Set the automatic update of the anti-virus databases in the settings so that the anti-virus regularly logs into the Nod32 website and updates itself. In this case, you will not have to monitor the status of the virus signature databases. While the license key of the antivirus is valid, the databases will be updated. A few weeks before its expiration, go to the developer's official website and purchase a new key.
Step 4
Download antivirus databases from the official Nod32 website if you need to update your antivirus on a computer that is not connected to the Internet. Save them to your USB stick. Drop them on your computer to any folder. Unpack. Then run your antivirus. Go to the update menu. Select "Settings". A new window will appear.
Step 5
Find the item "Servers" in it. Click on the "Add" button. Specify the path to the folder into which you unpacked the archive data with anti-virus databases. Click the OK button. Return to the "Settings" window. Select "Location". Then select "Server".
Step 6
Specify the path to the folder where you unpacked the contents of the archive again. Return to the update window. Click on the "Update Now" button. Wait until the program's virus databases are updated. Close your antivirus and restart your computer.
