Sometimes Internet users have problems with the Mozilla Firefox browser. Usually, in the event of such breakdowns, the computer may freeze, or the program simply cannot be closed. There is also the problem of further restarting the browser. In this case, after closing it, further access to the program is impossible, since the operating system displays a dialog box where it is written that the Firefox process is already running. This can be solved by restarting the system, but this method is not entirely convenient for most users.
Instructions
Step 1
Use the automatic browser shutdown feature in the background. To do this, open a command prompt. This is done by clicking the "Start" button, then select the "Run" command.
Step 2
In the window that appears, write the word Regedit, write the address line in the tray: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESystemCurrentControlSetServicesLanmanServerParameters, create a new DWORD data type called REG_DWORD. It will deactivate your browser.
Step 3
Try using another alternative method ^ disable the web browser in the Lan internet connection settings via the control panel menu.
Step 4
If you need to select special work parameters, change them on the toolbar in the browser settings. It is also possible to disable it via the Firefox settings panel. To do this, in an open browser, select the "Tools" item, then "Settings". Go to the General tab and select the desired configuration.
Step 5
Press CTRL + ALT + Delete, this is the easiest alternative way to exit the browser. The task manager will appear on your screen. Go to the Applications tab and right-click End Task.
Step 6
If this does not help, go to the "Processes" tab in the same window, right-click on the firefox.exe line, select "End Process". The system will issue a warning that the termination of the process may affect the operation of the system, click "OK" if you really need to exit the program.
Step 7
If you need to completely disable and then uninstall the browser, go to the Add or Remove Programs menu in the control panel of your computer. Select the item "remove programs", find the required browser in the list and click the "Remove" button. After that, a menu for uninstalling programs with various configurations will appear, allowing you to delete user data used during work, or save them.
