Many people in our country like to watch American films in the original. Russian subtitles are designed to help people who do not know English to understand the meaning of the movie they are watching. Step 1
If the subtitles are too shifted to one side, you can always move them to the middle using special subtitle editing programs, the most popular of which is VobSub. It is equipped with all the necessary functionality that allows you to perform various actions on subtitles, change their location and color.
Step 2
If you want to move subtitles in English or in any other language, first download and install the VobSub program to your hard drive. Then find a subtitle file on the endless expanses of the Internet and copy it to the same folder where the movie itself is located.
Step 3
Rename the subtitles so that the subtitle file and the movie file name match to make the subtitles run with the video. If instead of letters there are some incomprehensible icons, go to the settings menu and select the correct language. To do this, while playing subtitles, click the DirectVobSub tab. In the pop-up window, click the Text Settings menu and select the language and font you understand.
Step 4
There are cases when the downloaded video and subtitles do not fit together and cannot be played at the same time. You can, of course, download another video or subtitle, but this takes a lot of time. There is a much easier way. Download the DSRT program. Open the subtitle file and press Alt + V in order to select the video with which you want to synchronize the subtitles. Now you can finally shift or slightly tweak the subtitles to make it convenient for you to watch the interesting and entertaining movie of your choice.

Also, you can move not all subtitles at once, but some of their fragments. It is very convenient and practical, since there is no need for lengthy editing. If you want to learn a foreign language, you can watch films in English with subtitles. Regularly watching such films, you can significantly improve your knowledge of the English language, since you not only get used to spoken English, but also significantly increase your vocabulary without even noticing it.
