Activating the Computer Administrator account, which is disabled by default in Windows Vista and Windows 7, may be necessary when running system commands that run as Administrator.
Instructions
Step 1
Click the "Start" button to bring up the main menu of the system and go to the "Control Panel" item to perform the operation to enable the computer Administrator account.
Step 2
Select the "Administration" item and open the "Computer Management" link.
Step 3
Select "Local Users" and go to the "Users" section.
Step 4
Call the context menu of the "Administrator" item by clicking the right mouse button and select the "Properties" command.
Step 5
Uncheck the Disable account box and click OK to confirm the command.
Step 6
Return to the main menu "Start" and go to the "Programs" item for an alternative method of activating the computer Administrator account.
Step 7
Expand the "Standard" link and open the context menu of the "Command Line" object by right-clicking.
Step 8
Specify the "Run as administrator" command and enter the value net user administrator / active: yes (or net user Administrator / active: yes for Russian localization) in the command line field in the window that opens.
Step 9
Press the softkey labeled Enter to apply the selected changes.
Step 10
Enter net user administrator / active: no in the command line field to disable the Computer Administrator account and press the Enter function key to confirm the command.
Step 11
Use the recommended sysprep / generalize value after the build is complete to deactivate the built-in Administrator account the next time you turn on the computer.
