Instructions
Step 1
Go to User Accounts and Family Safety, Account Administration. Look at the list of available accounts and find the one you used before. If it has the status "Disabled", enable it by clicking on it with the left mouse button. As a rule, several accounts can be created on a personal computer, each of which has its own rights.
Step 2
Call the account settings window. To do this, enter the command control userpasswords2 in the Run query line and press enter. Enter such commands carefully, as you can make a mistake in the spelling and then the operating system will perform a different function. The User Accounts window displays a list of all users on the system. Check the box next to Require username and password.
Step 3
Boot the operating system in safe mode. To do this, when you boot your computer, press F8, and then select "Safe Mode" from the list. This mode can only be entered under the administrator account, which will happen if the password is not set. Go to User Accounts and set up your own account.
Step 4
If you need to confirm the "Administrator" login with a password, and you do not know it, use the Windows setup utilities. For example, the ERD Commander program allows you to manage system settings, edit the registry, provide access to the contents of the hard drive, etc. You can find it on the special software portal softportal.ru. If your computer is severely damaged by viruses and no service utilities are available, you will not be able to regain administrator rights. In this case, you just have to reinstall the operating system.
