Adding bookmarks in the Google Chrome browser is not a problem for a user of any level. Built-in tools allow you to perform this operation without the need for additional software.
Instructions
Step 1
Use the built-in mechanism for adding bookmarks in the Google Chrome browser. To do this, call the main system menu by clicking the "Start" button and go to the "All Programs" item. Start your Internet browser and go to the desired web page.
Step 2
Notice the asterisk symbol on the right side of the browser address bar. Click on it in order to add the selected page to your bookmarks. Please note that it is possible to add the desired page to an existing folder or create a new one. Specify the desired option in the drop-down box and confirm your choice by clicking the "Change" button.
Step 3
Use an alternative way of adding the selected web page to the bookmarks of the Google Chrome browser using a combination of "hot keys". To do this, press simultaneously the function keys Ctrl and D (for all Windows operating systems or Linux) or cmd and D (for OS X operating systems).
Step 4
Another way to add the desired page to the bookmarks of the Google Chrome browser is to simply drag and drop the icon of the selected web page onto the bookmarks bar. Further actions are completely similar to those described above.
Step 5
The created bookmark will be placed in the bar at the top of the Google Chrome application window. Use the browser settings button with a wrench symbol to find it in the list.
Step 6
Please note that the name of the created bookmark can be changed in the corresponding line of the drop-down window for adding bookmarks. Just type in the desired name and click the "Change" button.
Step 7
To import the bookmarks you need from another browser, save them in HTML format. Expand the settings menu of the Google Chrome application and select the "Bookmark Manager" item. Select the Arrange submenu and expand the Import Bookmarks node. Open the previously saved file and find your bookmarks in the upper service panel.
