Before proceeding with the reinstallation of the operating system, transfer all important information to another partition of the hard disk or to a USB flash drive.

Next, we will consider the process of installing the operating system on the example of Windows 7. Accordingly, for work you will need a boot disk with the distribution of this OS. The disc must be in your computer's optical drive before starting the installation.

Turn on your computer. Press F8 immediately after power on. Alternatively, other keys can act, for example, F5, F2. In general, you can find the one you need by searching. After pressing the correct key, you will be taken to the BOOT menu.

From this menu, select your optical drive and press Enter. Then press any key on the keyboard. The disk is activated and the installation process of the operating system begins. You will see a file upload window.

Next, the "Install Windows" window will appear. In this window, you can select the time format, input language. After selecting these options, click Next. In the next window, click "Install". Then check the box next to the line "I accept the license agreement" and proceed further. Select "Full Installation".

After that, a window will appear in which there will be a list of hard disk partitions. Click on the system partition with the left mouse click. Then left-click on the "Format" option (located at the bottom of the window). After a few seconds, the disk will be formatted. Click again on the system partition with the left mouse button, and then click "Next".

The further process is almost completely automated. You practically don't need to do anything else, except that you need to choose a username and password (if you want), as well as some Internet settings (if there are available connections).
