Instructions
Step 1
Open the DVD drive tray and insert the disc containing the Windows Vista installation files. Restart your computer by pressing the Ctrl, alt="Image" and Del keys or the Reset button. Immediately after turning on the PC, press and hold the Delete key. After a while, the motherboard BIOS menu will open.
Step 2
Go to the Boot Device menu and open the Boot Priority submenu. Find the First Boot Device item and set the Internal DVD-Rom parameter next to it. Return to the main menu and select the Save & Exit item. After the computer restarts, the message Press any key to boot from CD appears. Complete the requirements by pressing an arbitrary key on the keyboard.
Step 3
Wait while Windows Vista Setup prepares the required files. Open the Advanced Recovery Options menu. First select "Startup Repair". Confirm the start of this process and wait for it to complete. If after restarting the computer the operating system does not start, then repeat the procedure for entering the "Additional recovery options" menu.
Step 4
Select "System Restore". In the window that appears, click the "Next" button. Now select the previously created system point. If the checkpoint you need is not in the list that appears, check the box next to Show other restore points. Select the required system archive and click the "Next" button. Click the "Yes" button to confirm the start of the system restore process.
Step 5
Try using different checkpoints if Windows Vista cannot be restored using the selected archive. If you are using an image of the system partition to restore the OS, then select "System Image Restore". The described method is suitable for recovering Windows Seven OS.
