Instructions

Step 1

There are tons of ways to change the format of an audio file. You can use special editing programs, you can use converters … But about each in turn.

Step 2

Editing with Sony SoundForge is considered one of the most popular options. Everything here is extremely simple: install the program (if it is not installed), run it. A window opens. If the program takes up the entire screen, then you can minimize it to the desired size (everyone decides for himself).

So, we see a gray background. And there is this unplayable audio file on your computer desktop. Click the melody shortcut with the mouse and drag it onto the gray background of the open program. Immediately, processing takes place, and the audio editing track is displayed, where the music is presented in the form of vibrations. Select the entire segment of these fluctuations, find the "file" menu at the top of the menu, look for the "Save as.." item. We activate. A new window appears, in which we are asked to choose the location to save the new file, its name and format. This is exactly where you can choose what we need. Let's put, for example, the mp3 format. We press the button "save". The operation was successful. The file is saved in a new quality.

Step 3

Converting software such as "Hamster Free Video Converter" can be used. The process is the same as above. There will be no difficulties in working with this program.

Step 4

There is one more option, no less effective than the two described above. Right-click on the unreadable audio file, thereby calling the context menu. We are looking for the item "rename". We assign any name. And we give it the extension that we need. This is done simply. After the file name we put a period, then we enter the extension we need (for example, mp3). As a result, the file will look like this: "music.mp3". Conversion will happen automatically. The file is now readable again.
