Step 1
A laptop, unlike a regular computer, is limited in its upgrade options - replacing components with newer and more powerful ones. If on a regular computer you can replace absolutely all components, including the processor and motherboard, then on a laptop you can only add or change RAM and hard drive. But even an increase in RAM and hard drive can give a significant boost to laptop performance.
Step 2
The first step is to increase the RAM in the laptop to the maximum possible value. Each laptop is expandable to a certain size, so you need to go to your laptop manufacturer's website, find your model, and see what the maximum amount of RAM is for your laptop. Now you need to see how much RAM is on your laptop. To do this, turn off the laptop, turn it over, and use a screwdriver to open one of the covers located on the bottom of the laptop. Under one of them there are strips of RAM. You can take them out and find out the amount of memory. Typically, the volume is indicated on a sticker attached to the bar. The numbers will be indicated in megabytes: 256, 512 or 1024. Now you can calculate how much memory you need to buy in order to achieve the maximum value. Write down the parameters and the type of memory so as not to make a mistake when buying. By setting the maximum amount of memory, you will immediately feel the change in the way your laptop works - it will complete tasks faster.
Step 3
Without stopping there, you can replace the hard drive in your laptop with a faster one. Most often, manufacturers install 5400 rpm hard drives in notebooks. and 8MB buffer. You can get better performance by replacing the hard drive in your laptop with a faster 7200rpm hard drive. and a 16MB buffer. The steps for replacing the hard drive will be the same as for replacing the RAM. After the new hard drive is installed, do not forget to install the operating system on it and transfer all data from the old drive. To do this, you can use a special USB adapter, into which a hard disk is inserted and connected via a USB port to a laptop.
Step 4
By increasing the RAM to the maximum amount, and replacing the hard drive with a faster one, the computer's performance will noticeably increase.
