Connecting phones, especially not the most complex models, to a computer significantly expands the capabilities of mobile phones. There are three main connection methods: wired using a DATA cable, and wirelessly using Bluetooth or IrDA.
It is necessary
CD with software, cable (sold with the phone), Bluetooth adapter
Instructions
Step 1
Usually, a software disc (sold with the cable) is required to connect the phone to the computer. If available, the connection is as follows:
Connect one side of the cable to a computer (to a USB port), the other to a phone (usually a mini or microUSB port).
Step 2
Most often, the computer will recognize the connected phone automatically. If not recognized, you need to install the software from the disk.
Step 3
Some phone models are recognized by the computer as a regular flash card. In this case, no additional software is required.
Step 4
After the phone is recognized by the computer, you can work with files.
Step 5
Connecting a phone via infrared (IrDA) or Bluetooth is almost the same. The difference is in the communication range. The infrared ports of the phone and the computer must "see" each other, Bluetooth operates quietly at a distance of several tens of meters. Due to its "range" and convenience, Bluetooth is much more widespread than IrDA. To connect your phone to a computer via Bluetooth, you first need a Bluetooth adapter for your computer. The necessary software is sold with it.
Let's assume that the Bluetooth adapter and the required software are already installed on the computer.
Step 6
Turn on Bluetooth in the phone; your computer should automatically turn on the Bluetooth adapter.
Step 7
We select "add a new Bluetooth device" in the computer software. The connection wizard starts.
Step 8
If everything is ok, the Bluetooth connection wizard will find the phone.
Step 9
Then there is a question about the need for a key to add a device. We mark "selection of an access key automatically". A window will appear asking you to enter the key.
Step 10
At the same time, a request will appear in the connected phone asking you to enter the same access key. We enter it.
Step 11
This completes the connection of the mobile phone to the computer via Bluetooth - you can work with files.
