Despite the frenzied popularity of mobile tablets and netbooks, laptops are not giving up their positions, but on the contrary are becoming more popular and functional, as more and more people prefer small and transportable laptops to stationary PCs. You cannot be guided only by the degree of brand promotion and financial capabilities when buying a laptop. When choosing a laptop, be sure to ask yourself the question: for what purpose are you buying it?
When choosing a laptop, you should first of all proceed from your requests. All laptop manufacturers divide their models into families: home and office, gaming and fashion, etc. Within each family, in turn, there is a division into formats: laptops can be small, medium and large.
Home (aka multimedia) laptops, as the name suggests, are intended for home use and are designed primarily for entertainment. They are functional, they are distinguished by a bright design, as a rule, they are equipped with touch panels, remote controls, a large number of connectors for home use, such as: a dual headphone output, an HDMI port for connecting to a TV, multi-format card readers, etc.
Office laptops are workhorses with a strict, neutral design that lacks specific multimedia elements. Nothing should distract from work, therefore in such notebook models the emphasis is on ergonomics and reinforced design. They boast high performance and battery life.
Gaming, that is, gaming laptops are models with aggressive designs and the most powerful video cards and processors. Gaming laptops have enhanced cooling systems and an optimized keyboard (highlighted gaming keys W-A-S-D). They also feature large "fast" screens (thanks to which dynamic scenes are not blurred). Such models are extremely expensive, and there is no point in acquiring them for some extraneous purpose - especially for work.
Image laptops are premium computers, distinguished by their exquisite design, as a rule, made in expensive materials (leather, glass, metal). These are status models designed, first of all, to emphasize the consistency and good taste of the owner.
Of course, on the market you can find a huge number of models that do not fit into any of the above categories and do not have a pronounced positioning. Such laptops are versatile and are especially good as the only family computer that, if needed, can be taken with you to a business meeting or used for entertainment.
