Instructions

Step 1

Press and hold the “delete” key while turning on the computer. Most often, it is she who is responsible for loading the BIOS shell. If you cannot load the BIOS by pressing this key, try the following keys: “F1”, “F2” “F10”, “F11”, “Esc”.

Step 2

Once you have entered the BIOS, open the “advanced bios features” menu. It is necessary to find a subsection of this menu, which is responsible for the order of loading from various devices. The name of this item depends on the manufacturer of the computer motherboard. Most often this item is called “Boot Sequence”. Also in the BIOS there may be several parameters that determine the boot order more simply: "First boot device", "Second boot device", "Third boot device".

Using the “enter” key, the “Page up”, “Page down” keys, or the “+” and “-” keys, it is necessary to set the order of checking the boot devices. So, if the first device is a DVD drive, the next is a USB flash drive, the next is a hard drive, then the system will sequentially check these devices when turned on. And as soon as boot files are found on any of these devices, the computer will continue to boot from it, ignoring the presence of system files on the devices that are checked after.
