It is necessary

  • - a computer
  • - CD drive
  • - Windows XP installation disc

Instructions

Step 1

It is recommended to install the licensed version of the operating system, because it is a guarantee of good performance and constant and stable updates. Despite its high cost, Windows will work better than its cheap pirated counterpart. The license version already comes with a key, and the activation of the operating system takes place over the phone, absolutely free.

So, the installation requires the CD to start at boot. To do this, go to the BIOS, holding down Delete when the computer boots. A blue window will appear in front of us. Click Advanced - Advanced BIOS Features - First Boot Device and select the CD-ROM value. To exit the BIOS, while saving all changed parameters, press F10 and Y (Yes).

Step 2

After restarting your computer, follow the prompts in the System Setup Wizard. Certain files will be copied from the CD to the hard drive. The installation wizard will ask you to format the partition. You can format the partition, or install the system on a partition that contains an operating system.

This is followed by a system reboot. The installation wizard will ask you to enter the serial number that is on the box with your operating system. After that, you need to enter the name of the computer and the name of the organization, as well as indicate your time zone, focusing on the cities that will be shown in the prompts.

After all these actions, the system reboots.

Step 3

The operating system is loading, you see a fast running bar of the Windows XP system - it means that the installation was successful. Wait for the welcome screen, enter the name of your profile (account) and activate the operating system by making a call to the activation service. You can make a call by dialing the activation service number that is on the box with your operating system.
