A laser printer is an indispensable assistant in any office. One of its advantages is high productivity and printing speed. Such printers have ample opportunities for printing on materials of various textures and densities. Many models are capable of not only making prints, but also making copies and scanning documents. Moreover, they are not much more difficult to handle than inkjet ones. But there are certain nuances that need to be considered when working with these machines.

Step 1
A laser printer, unlike an inkjet printer, can have several trays for feeding paper: for example, an inner pull-out one is for thin A4 sheets, and an outer one is for thick paper. It is also used for tracing paper, film, stickers and other non-standard materials.
Check that you have the print media you want in the correct tray. The paper should lie flat to avoid paper jams during printing.
Step 2
Open the Print dialog box. Select the following options in it:
- sheet format;
- sheet orientation. It can be book or landscape.
- materials for printing. For example, plain paper, thick paper, cardboard, stickers, and so on.
- the tray from which the paper is fed (external or internal);
- printing color (color or black and white);
- print quality (regular, high quality, photo printing);
- one-sided or two-sided printing.
Step 3
Before you print your document, be sure to load a preview window to check that the correct size and print orientation are selected.
Step 4
Send your document to print.
