Baidu is a potentially unwanted program that changes browser settings, displays advertisements on your computer, downloads and installs third-party software itself. It appears unexpectedly, along with the installation of some desired program. It is impossible to remove Baidu outright - for this, it is necessary to conduct a number of special events.
Identify Baidu on PC
The method is suitable for everyone, since it does not require the use of any additional software. First of all, we need to make sure that we are dealing with Baidu. To do this, just start the Task Manager by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Del (or Ctrl + Shit + Esc) and detect processes related to the malicious program. You can identify them by the Chinese description and the presence of the word "baidu":

Malicious files cannot be removed immediately, even with the help of the Unlocker program and the like. So click Start, click Restart and boot into Safe Mode - hitting F8 or F5 during reboot, then selecting Safe Mode.
Remove Baidu manually
Next, you need to go to "Start" - "Control Panel" - "Administrative Tools" - "Services" and disable everything related to Baidu.
Open the "Task Manager" and find all the processes with the name Baidu, make a right click on each click - "End task".
Search for and delete all Baidu files from the hard drive.
Edit "Startup", removing all unnecessary from it. To do this, press the combination Win + R and enter the command "msconfig" without quotes.
In each browser, you need to check the list of extensions and plugins. If found all related to Baidu - delete.
It is imperative to check the launch shortcuts for all browsers. Right-click on the shortcut - "Properties", in the "Object" field there should be only the path to the browser exe file in quotes. All unnecessary after the quotes - delete. Or you can go to the folder of each browser and create a new shortcut, send it to the “Desktop”.
After the performed actions, the computer must be restarted and additionally checked by automatic means.
Remove Baidu Automatically
One program may not complete the task, so it is necessary to use the whole complex. Search the Internet and download the free Revo Uninstaller. This program can remove those things that are not visible in “Programs and Features” and CCleaner.
Find the Hitman Pro program through the search engine, download it from the official website and install it. You have 30 days of free trial, which should be enough to scan your PC and remove Baidu. After launching it, select “I am going to scan the system only once” - automatic scanning and removal will be performed.
Download and install Malwarebytes Antimalware. Scan the system with this program and delete everything that is found. Anything that Hitman Pro can't handle will be cleaned up by Antimalware. After taking action, China's Baidu will most likely no longer bother your PC.
