When the operating system is loaded, some programs that are integrated into startup may also be launched along with it. And you might not even know that these programs are running in the background. Moreover, the more of them are launched together with the OS loading, the more computer memory resources they use.
Necessary
Computer with Windows OS
Instructions
Step 1
To optimize the performance of your computer, it is better to remove some programs from its startup. Thus, you free up RAM and take the load off the central processor. This can be done in this way. Click the Start button. Then select "All Programs", then - "Standard". Among the standard programs is the "Command Line". Start it up. Enter the msconfig command in it and press the Enter key. After a second, the "System Configuration" window will appear.
Step 2
Go to the "Startup" tab. A list of programs that are loaded when the computer is turned on appears. There are no programs in this list that are responsible for the normal operation of the operating system, so you do not have to worry that you accidentally remove the one that is needed for the OS from autorun.
Step 3
Each of these programs is marked with a checkbox. In order to remove it from autorun, you just need to uncheck the box next to this program. It is not recommended to disable anti-virus programs and programs responsible for the safety of the Internet. Leave only those that you use frequently.
Step 4
After you mark all the programs that need to be removed from autorun, click "Apply" and OK. If for some reason you want to completely remove all programs that are in startup, then just click "Disable all". Reboot your computer. The next time you start it, the programs you marked will not be loaded.
Step 5
Also, in some cases, notifications about the security of your computer may appear. This can happen if, for example, you have removed antivirus software from the computer's startup. You can return programs to autostart in exactly the same way.
