Today, no office in the world is complete without a printer. Indeed, the capabilities of this device not only make life easier for workers, but also make the process of outputting and transferring data convenient and fast. Unfortunately, there are times when you have to interfere with the operation of the printer, for example, pull out the cartridge in case of any malfunction or for refueling.
Instructions
Step 1
In case of complex problems, this should be done by a specialist, and in case of small problems, everyone can. The cartridge must be removed if it has jammed the paper, does not print text on the paper, or starts to get dirty. Removing the cartridge may resolve these problems.
Step 2
Locate a special tab or notch on the printer that opens its cover. Open it and press down on the release lever (if available with your printer model). Caution: In laser printers, the fuser is very hot - do not touch it to avoid scalding your hands.
Step 3
The cartridge must be grasped by the handle and pulled out of the slot towards you, applying slight effort. If the cartridge cannot be removed, do not rush to remove it by force, which could seriously damage it. It is better to call the service technician from the service center. Handle the cartridge with care to avoid damaging it. Your respect for the cartridge will be the key to high quality printing in the printer.
Step 4
Also remember that you only need to remove the cartridge from the inkjet printer for 2-3 minutes, as the ink may dry out in the cartridge. In this case, you will have to refill the cartridge with new ink, because the old ones will already become unusable for further use. When you tidy up the shutter to protect the drum of the cartridge, do not lift it up. A shutter protects the ink in the cartridge from drying out and exposure to sunlight.
Step 5
Avoid mechanical stress on the cartridge and do not expose it to sunlight, which will degrade the print quality of the printer. Try to carry out all the operations with the cartridge carefully and quickly: as soon as you remove the jammed paper, or align the protective shutter on the cartridge, replace it and close the cover. When you remove the cartridge from the printer, do not shake or knock on the body. Otherwise, you run the risk of spilling toner from the cartridge and staining yourself and your clothing.
